During this historical storm my 5 yr old son went into respiratory distress...they arrived in mere minutes. They treated him on scene and THEY are only reason we made it to the hospital safely. The teamwork between the paramedics and the firemen was extraordinary and seamless. By the time we arrived my son was better within minutes because of their extensive training and knowledge, as well as the medicines they had on board. They put my sons life first over any covid concerns especially with his symptoms. My son needed no further treatment from doctors except an oral steroid. Their bravery and selfless actions are put to the test daily with each and every call. They put our families first over their own. My family cannot thank them enough in this lifetime! Terrible. Had to listen to the paramedic tell me that a person with respiration of 52 bpm and oxygen saturation of 79% and only able to get it up to 88% and respiration down to 42 bpm with oxygen in place at 10 L/M didnt need to be sent to ER and shoukd expect it with Covid. Unacceptable
