Parked in a Republic Parking NW lot at the corner of 5th Ave N and John St. We paid the required fee and displayed the receipt on the dash, as required. We finished lunch and returned to the car, with 30 min remaining on our parking time. Amazingly, or not so much, we received a citation from Republic for not displaying a valid receipt. It also stated “Clear Dash”. I’m not sure what they are referring to, as the car is a rental and we literally had nothing in the vehicle but the rental contract and that was in the console.nThis is quite obviously a scam by Republic. Rental vehicles are easy to spot, and the company knows that all citations will be paid by the rental agency and then charged to the renter. I have contacted my rental agency and requested them to note my account/agreement, that any fines be transferred to me directly and not paid by them.nI don’t understand how the citizens and politicians of Seattle stand for this kind of business practice. There should definitely be a class-action lawsuit against this company. I’m hanging on to my parking receipt and citation, in the hopes that one day, there will be one.nI am a pilot for a major airlines and fly into SeaTac regularly. From now on, I will be making pa announcements making people aware of the Republic scam.

Scam!!! I have parked my rental can in a Republic Parking NW lot, corner of 4th Ave and Broad St. Paid my parking in the pay-station used my credit card, displaced the receipt on the dash. Two months later, I received a notice from the car rental company. said I made a violation parking on the lot. .... I am contacting the car rental company trying to retrieve the charges. If it is become difficult, I will ask my bank for a chargeback.nVery disappointed it happened in Seattle.
