I mistakenly paid the city meter (on the lot) instead of the lot's meter & ended up getting a ticket. They made no effort to tell you that the lots requires a DIFFERENT payment. My guess is that issuing a $57 fine is more lucrative then the $13 parking permit.
This is a scam. I payed for 2.5 hours and put the badge on the driver's window as required by impark. After 28min got a notice that there was no badge. Impossible to dispute with them. No answer by any of telephones or e-sites. Shame on you. The city of Seattle should act to remove these guys. They deter visitors from coming to see the wonderful sites.
I parked here off of a Waze app suggestion. It was easy to get in to the lot and a quick walk across the street to all the activities. Great location.
Always enjoy visiting the Space Needle while we're in town
The only thing going for this parking is the location. It is unclean and uneven. Buyers be warned, you will be ticketed almost immediately if the paid parking receipt is not displayed in the very specific, but unclear manner. Here's the problem, the directions explain curb side parking, angled space parking, and motorcycle parking. I was parked in a lot in side by side spaces. No curbs and no angles. So it did not matter that the paid parking receipt is in plain view on the dashboard, like every other normal parking lot in every other normal city. It did not matter that I took the time and care to ensure I properly paid for the use of the space and included extra time to avoid being out of compliance. My intentions to be a good citizen and visitor to this location were penalized. And it is not possible to dispute the notice in writing. This is unfortunate for those visiting the city with no recourse. Park elsewhere and walk to save this hassle. Thankfully, I have no reason to return to this location.
