Sonya's Seattle

Sonya's is a great place to eat and drink. Beyond that I personally know the owners and they are good people running a great local establishment with quality food and drinks. Highly recommend for your next trip out downtown.

I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone looking for any kind of service. Came on a Saturday night looking for dinner, and the place was fairly quiet/slow. Only one bartender, which is normally totally fine- but staring us down for 25 minutes while the bartender eats their own meal, then coming over to take our order with a sour attitude? Sorry to inconvenience you as a paying customer. I've had warmer welcomes at a border crossing. I'd eat and drink anywhere else.nnEdit: in response to their reply- the responder is completely mistaken. We didn't bring any food into the establishment. Thanks for suggesting we've broken the law- really classy. We hadn't eaten anything, hence why we were there looking to order dinner. The bartender was the one eating, and wasn't being nice at all, and she had absolutely no reason to be irritable. Additionally, does the Washington State Health Department care that your bartender, who handles drink and food, is eating their own food at the same time while working? I have a server's license myself, and I already know the answer to that one.
