14th Ave S & S Washington St

The southbound train stops right before arriving at a pointless stop sign. This is not Central District. It is a historic Japanese district bordering Little Saigon, which station is right after the next intersection. Trains are very slow. When waiting here, traffic piles up right next to the station, and you have to inhale all the exhaust within inches. Nothing is more unsafe than southbound Broadway and Pike stop, but mentally ill homeless frequent this stop too... Overall just a slow, unreliable service. Trains have no transponders. Not connected to google maps or any apps for real time schedule. Absolutely unreliable and slow. Metro alerts don't work for this service. Rarely get a service disruption alert, but even those are wrong...

Besides VERY slow unpredictable service overall, this stop is right smack in the middle of the block. It makes southbound trains stop TWICE, because there is pointless stop sign right before the train reaches the stop. The side where it stops doesn't even have vehicle traffic, and if people need to cross to that side, they can easily do that behind the train when it stops. The stop is located in Little Saigon next Japanese Wisteria Park. What Central District has to do with this stop is a mystery. Again someone's fantasy in the planning department at the time. Also, the distance between this station and the Little Saigon station is so short that it's faster to just walk between them. People from a nearby dysfunctional half way facility always hangout and panhandle at this stop. If Little Saigon station is moved west of 12th ave where all the bus connections are, then the station between Little Saigon and Chinatown light rail can be deleted, so the speed gets better, otherwise it's faster walking. This is a last resort transportation option.
