An iconic building in Seattle. The Seattle Public Library is modern, sofisticated and pretty beautiful both outside and inside. Even if you are just passing through is recommended the visit. The sunlight that comes from the exterior through the glass ceiling makes the scene awesome.
Easily the most beautiful library. I recommend you to add this on the list if you plan to travel to Seattle.nNo library card is needed to enter.nThe red room gives a Sci-Fi vibe. Could offer a much needed respite after walking around in Pike market or the busy downtown area.

One star for design. I love the SPL but the bldg not at all. The stacks are functional and I think the librarians like them but the design is harsh and cold. I call it the passive aggressive building. I call the west elevation the soylent green factory (watch from the plaza across the street slightly more welcoming than that of the library building).
