Finally listening to people who are not wealthy Seattlites and who don't control the local elections with their money.

Seattle City Council must be replaced now. It is driven by ideology, not practical, compassionate solutions for the homeless and for the rest of us. Letting mentally I'll and drug-addicted homeless rule our streets and green spaces is wrong. Other cities have solutions. Let's try what works.

I honestly do not understand how these people ever become elected. The issues isn't even that they are radically left as a whole, but that they just don't know how to do their job. I'm sure there are plenty of other democrats and alternative socialists out there that could actually do this job semi-well. They never do anything well. I don't understand what's their issue. They look for ways to gain more money, but then do not effectively use that money for issues that effect seattlites the most: homelessness and traffic. The new tunnel was over budget, over time, and it is going to be tolled after the first few months. Safe-injections sites are one of the worst ideas I have ever heard. Think of the people that have to live in those areas. I do agree addicts need to helped, but this is not any solution, it is just making it safer for them to do something illegal. And then to prevent other local governments in the area from banning safe-injection sites within their city limits. It is just ridiculous. Government projects rarely achieve greatness the first time around, but at least most seem to be more thought out than anything I have seen our city council do. I am hopeful that in the years to come we have the opportunity to elect more effective council members.

Well socialist America, if Venezuela wasn’t proof enough, Seattle will change your mind. Just spent my first weekend there after being gone for 8 years. In such a short time it has changed drastically. City counsel is the issue. This is not a humanitarian crisis. These people are not homeless. They choose this life to support their addition. An addition that they also choose, and you allow them to disguise it as homelessness. If these people remain in office, Seattle will soon be the worst major city in America. The cousil has to resign. They are not the leaders we need to solve this problem. They are just in over their head.

Crime, homeless, drug use, zombies every where. When we moved here 15 years ago, it was relatively safe and clean. Now, every time you go out there or park ur car on the street, you better watch out.
