My husband and I have used Fifth Avenue Travel...specifically agent Vivian James... for many, many years, and have traveled all over the globe with her. She is experienced, professional, detailed, sensitive and so easy to work with. She soon becomes a good friend and understands your ideas and tastes as well as your limitations and your expectations. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Has handled all our trips for many years. Very reliable, responsive, creative. Goes out of their way to assist. Highly recommend.

Wanted to book a last-minute trip to an all-inclusive resort with our adult children. Hadn’t seen them in 8 months.nChose 5th Avenue Travel to deal locally. Had the trip lined up, then learned they won’t accept a charge card by phone for first time customer. I say, “I’m local, 60+ with stellar credit and every online travel company takes my card.”nThey say, “That’s our policy. No exceptions.”nI jump in the car and drive over immediately.nWhile enroute, airfare tickets for the kids are sold out. They wind up with higher cost and two connections from Denver to Punta Cana.nI am again reminded about the policy. “We’ll understand if you don’t want to use us in the future,” they say.nI am fuming.nDay of trip, kids’ first plane has mechanical trouble. They miss connection 1, have to spend the night in Miami.nWe then miss Day 1 of vacation together; kids’ trip takes 32 hours.nI call the agency to let them know, and have to leave a message.nA week later, I get a return call: “Not our fault and that’s our policy.”nOne would think that bricks-and-mortar travel agencies need any advantage they can get these days. And stellar customer service -- not an archaic policy -- should be #1.nWe certainly didn’t get that here, and no, I won’t be back.nSuggest you look elsewhere as well.
