When in Hendersonville...or even nearby...the court house museum is a MUST VISIT...1905 building has one of the finest displays of military items around...
Exceptional history museum of Hendersonville County area. The staff was very friendly during our visit as well as knowledgeable.
Henderson County's historic courthouse is definitely worth a visit. Beautifully restored, it now highlights displays of our local history. The gift shop sells local authors' books & other gift-worthy items. Local government holds meetings in the building & there has even been the occasional Flat Rock Playhouse production in the historic courtroom. Don't miss Santa Claus's annual arrival the night after Thanksgiving when he invites parents to take pictures of their own children sharing their Christmas wishes with him. In the courtyard our local & national histories are prominently honored with stately memorial plaques. Henderson County & Hendersonville are keeping history alive & a vital part of our town.
