Good vibe from the first time I walked in. The staff is friendly and efficient. Our labradoodle Rudy had a complicated surgery. Dr. Bird was so empathetic, stayed in touch through the weekend to check on Rudy. Like dogs do, he chewed his sutures reopening a deep wound. Dr. Bird stayed over that evening to repair the wound and continued to call or text to check on him. Rudy is all healed. He feels comfortable with everyone there and walks right in without hesitation. You know you have found the right vet when your animal is comfortable. I have watched Dr. Bird come out to the waiting area to greet pet parents on every visit. He is very personable. I can tell he is a man of faith. I live in Emerald Isle and gladly by-pass other clinics closer to home for the great care I have received from Morehead Animal Hospital. Stay strong and healthy Dr. Bird. Our fur babies need you. My 6 hour drive was worth every minute. Dr Bird and his team were so kind and caring to my dog WImbee and me! Even after the surgery, the concern and care did not stop. I am so happy I took the advise of friend and trusted this team with my dog's health. Thanks Morehead Animal Hospital for all that you do!

Dr. Bird is the best veterinarian! We have two dogs and five cats and he has provided excellent service, compassion and straight forward brilliant advice and medical procedures! A few months ago my little Chihuahua had his knee repaired through the stem cell procedure that Dr. Bird provides. I’m excited to report that Bucci is now running on the beach faster than ever!nI also want to share that his wife Kelly, who is his assistant, also provides excellent service and a special touch of TLC. Their entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The environment is beautiful and the overall experience will keep me coming back! Many thanks to everyone at Morehead animal Hospital! (it’s also been awesome to refer my friends from New bern, the 30 minute drive is totally worth it. They are all happy too)

Wonderful Vets and the staff is so nice! I drive 40 mins to have them care for my pups.
