We have worked with Education Tours since 2014. They do a great job for their groups and are a pleasure to work with for us. They go above and beyond to provide memorial experiences for their groups.
True nature of a company is how they respond during a crisis. Unfortunately, this company chose to cancel tours and refund 100% to some groups and keep upwards of 1/3 of the fees of other groups. (they say they only got a "credit" for future use for the buses and may not be able to use it). I'm curious how much stimulus money from either the PPP or EIDL program they received? There is another Educational Tours company out of Florida that refunded 100% of their canceled tours because "it was just the right thing to do". I know which company our schools will be using in future years.
Due to the covid epidemic we were told the trip was postponed and could either schedule next year or wait until someone paid for next years tour for reimbursement. However, to avoid contractual obligations and provide full refunds to all members, they changed the wording to cancelled. Refunded a portion and their lawyer simply thought it was funny and stated we were lucky to get what we did. We paid close to 5500$ and received $3600. Our kids worked hard to earn that. This epidemic highlighted those companies with low integrity and poor business practices, or greed. Will never recommend this company to anyone. Horrible experience.
