Design Expo Flooring Center Inc

We have had many rooms carpeted or floored with wood. Design Expo has done all the work and their work and end result are excellent.

They gave me a very good package for carpet installed in my mothers home (she is a senior). It must have been the cheapest carpet in the world. She lives alone and it has worn down, bubbled and it looks horrible after a couple of years. I have never seen anything like this ever. Never again. I have to have it replaced it looks so bad.

They installed my new hardwood floors and it looks great. The problem is that they didn't put any backing under the floor so it sounds like you're walking on a piece of cardboard - now every step makes a hollow sound. Even the cat sounds like he's wearing flip-flips.

When the salesman came to my home, he said my floors were glued and thus would be a 3-day job to remove them and install the new flooring. I watched the workers removing the flooring and it was not glued down. I called the salesman and he said he’d take $500 off the price. The 3-day job took two days. A few days later the salesman said he could only give me a $100 dollar break since the floors were nailed and the nails had to be removed. Even so, the job only took 2 days vice 3.nThen the salesman left a voicemail asking me to send the $400 check to an address in Severna Park rather than the Design Expo in Bowie. My assumption is the Severna Park address is his home address and he is skimming on contracts.nnLastly, at the beginning when we signed the contract, we heard nothing for 3 weeks, so I called the salesman on Monday, June 22, and was told our installation was scheduled for June 24th - 26th. Had I not called, I would have had no idea.nnI think this franchise needs to investigate the way it’s being operated. I would not recommend this company to anyone.nJames CurtisnMillersville Maryland

Scott was very helpful explaining the different types of floors and answering our questions. The installers were reliable and on time and cleaned up when finished. We look forward to contacting them in the future for further flooring jobs.
