Complaining about getting a ticket for going 80 mph in a 70 mph and then complaining again for getting the same ticket minutes later.nnIt sounds like you didn't learn your lesson the first time about speeding.

Racist city and police. Got 2 tickets in 15min driving 80mph. You better do the speed limit cruising through this city they don't have anything else better to do but write tickets. It's cities like this blacks better stay away from. ...

For those who claim Ruston PD or the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s office is racist, you are insane! I am white and I received a speeding ticket by a black female police officer, who was nothing but kind. So it works both ways. If you don’t want a ticket, don’t speed, as I have well learned. This city is not a speed trap. And from personal experience, I can tell you both agencies work together for the good of our community and are professional and awesome. I watched a black deputy track down a white drunk girl in the woods and help her out (I helped him). She was so belligerent I wanted to slap her. He was nothing but kind and professional. My point being that my interaction with two officers (both black) prove this is not a white police force only. When my own daughter went missing, the Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff, Mike Stone himself, worked hard to find her and get her home safely. As a private investigator, I have had the occasion to work with the FBI, State Police, many police officers from different cities, and many Sheriff’s deputies from different parishes. Yes, some were arrogant (in other parishes). But I am proud to say ours is second to none!

Ruston has its woes but so does every other city. Nothing racists about speeding. The sheriff office and the police department do NOT play when it comes to speeding. Has nothing to do with your skin color. Don't come here thinking you won't get pulled over for speeding because you will. Side Note: if youre doing 80 mph in Ruston youre WELL over the speed limit (where most is 35-45 mphs/ HWY 80 being 55mph).
