The Great Academy

While as a student I have my fair share of complaints abut this school.... If you do as you're asked and focus on your work, the 9-5 hours fly-by. I am a junior who attends this school and have narrowed my HS course load to 1 class normally taken by seniors. I am also currently enrolled in Dual-Credit classes with CNM through this school. While not perfect (everything eventually needs work) the program is a good one and worth consideration for potential teachers and students alike. I am in no way a stellar student, but with hard work and dedication I have nearly the credits to graduate in my junior year. Most of the previous reviews have been disgruntled students looking to lash out at the school because 'they didn't get their way'. Such action is inherently shameful, erroneous, and fallacious... No-one is perfect, so don't act like you are. I myself am no pillar of society, my I do my best to make it a better place. I recommend this school for kids who are looking to excel

They literally kept kids seated in front of a computer all day (9am-5pm) where they have to use an archaic software program to self-teach. No teacher in the room to help, just a supervisor who tells them how to sit and to be quiet. That's their idea of preparing kids for the future. It's maniacal!

I am a student at The Great Academy. Even though I have not been there that long I will say that it is amazing can be tough but fun and not always my big sister goes there with me and my big brother used to go there and now he is in the military and they help us and if a student needs extra help and people that is probably going to understand them more they get a good\ ahead in there classes to help the student and we all get to be on our own level and they will do anything to help you succeed.

this school is so great the teachers help the students when they ask for it they also are very kind i was so behind and the teachers helped me finish them

Honestly in my opinion this school kinda sucks. The education is great and some of the teachers are too, but Mr mathews is too much about himself and he runs the school like he's higher than everyone else or better than everyone, he's taken middle school kids' food and eaten it Infront of all of the upper class men. He could be a strong figure for the school and for the students if he were to change his work ethic a bit, people with the power they have try and use that to their advantage instead of using it to help others around them, I'm not one to talk much about helping others but if he wants us to he should as well. This school has become very restrictive like if a student really needs the restroom during class they should be aloud to go use the restroom, you can't control when your body decides it needs to dispose of your bodily fluids. The people at this school are brilliant and if things could be more like a school than a prison I would give it atleast a 4 star rating.
