I like Dr Walker and her office staff. She is a very warm and caring doctor who is easy to talk to. She encourages me to do better with my blood sugars without making me feel like a failure. I hope to be a patient of hers for many years.

My mom likes Dr Walker, but Dr Walker and/or her office don't really care about the patient. Mom was in the hospital and is now bedridden- cannot sit up unassisted, much less go to the doctor's office (she's 95). I called early in the week to get some prescriptions refilled. On Friday, I called the pharmacy and they weren't there. I called Dr Walker's office and could never get to a human until after hours when I got the person at the answering service. They will pass the request to Dr Walker et all when they get in (Monday). Meanwhile, Mom will run out of pain medication and anti-inflammatories for her knees, leaving her in awful pain, as well as other maintenance drugs like blood pressure medication.nnBtw, this is not the first time Dr Walker's office has done this. I chalked the prior incident up to miscommunication, but now I believe it is lack of concern and common decency. If there was a problem with the refills, they owed me a phone call so I could iron out any issues.nnBe warned. Dr Walker appears to be a good diagnostician, but she and her practice are not concerned when you walk out the office doors.
