We adopted a dog from another rescue who had pulled the dog from Upson, which is a high-kill shelter. When we called Upson the next day to get information about where she came from, any records, etc., we were told they do not have any information whatsoever about any of their dogs. They said they do not even name the dogs they get in. They were unable to give us even the simplest of information such as how she got to the shelter (owner surrender, picked up from the street, etc.). This is appalling and shows how little regard they have for the animals in their care. Grateful that she was able to escape this place before being killed.

I had to euthanize my baby today. The lady at the front counter was very nice. Although they were nice, they were not compassionate. These workers were so cold, I feel awful that I actually gave my baby of 15 years to them. I know they have to detach themselves, they should know how to be compassionate to the mommy of the dog. They were very cold.

This place is a joke! I have never been told to put animals back where I found them in 40 degree weather to die. Wow. The woman behind the counter was very rude and unhelpful. I do NOT recommend this place at all.
