Hightower Memorial Library

This is a great library with a very helpful staff. It is organized, quiet, always beautifully decorated at holidays and for special events. The bathrooms are clean. The computers always work. There is a sizable volume of DVDs that can also be checked out. The staff is courteous, always smile, very helpful with suggestions and always available. The building itself is beautiful and parking is close. I feel very blessed to have this wonderful facility available.

The Thomaston Hightower Memorial Library needs to have staff training because my friend and I go there often and our experience is that the staff is rude and when we got to front desk the staff or the person at the front desk seems like they don’t want to be bother with us or help us they act unfriendly they do not act like they want to speak or an acknowledge us I know the library is a free service to our patrons but I found the Zebulon library to be better also they do not have the books I want always have to order my books from a different library and it’s just the staff is very rude and they just seem like they don’t want to help nobody they see you at the front desk and asked somebody else to help you come to the front they just don’t like were bothering them and They act irritated and they at like they don’t want to speak to the patrons this needs to be corrected they need it either need to act more polite and considerate to the patrons or hire new people I have not been treated right as a patron my friend is friendly with them and they act like they don’t want to be there or be bothered with us and if there are other patrons who are treated this way let it be known. I also have to stand there and make sure my books get checked in because one of the staff members told me to leave my books on the counter and they will check them in I would not do that so I had to explain to her that I need to be checked in so they just need to correct their attitude and the way they treat the patrons They need to change their attitude and Sometimes when I can I go to the Joel Edwards Library In Zebulon So Much Better! They are Not friendly at all to the patrons such a rude don’t care attitude from this library staff needs to be addressed

Clean and quiet. A/C works very well. Staff friendly and somewhat helpful. It is small so they may not have what I am looking for but are always helpful by trying to order materials from another branch.
