I am a new patient with this practice since moving to the area. Staff are all very friendly and really great to deal with. Dr Ray Townsend is great and really cares to listen to his patients and help them address any concerns. Appointments have been easy to book with my schedule which is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend this practice for health care needs!

My husband was seeing a local well known doctor in Blairsville. After 2 years and basically being called without saying a hypochondriac. I decided he wasn't going back and took him to see Ray Townsend. Ray took the time to listen to my husband's symptoms. Since seeing Ray he was diagnosed with severe arthritis, high blood pressure, and stomach issues. Ray also referred him to heart doctor because he was complaining of a area that he was getting pain in. He recently had Triple heart bypass. I can not say enough about Ray. He saved my husband's life just by listening. Very thankful. I also would like to acknowledge Jackie and Edwina for being so pleasant on the phone and helping anyway they can. All of the staff that we have had contact with are a pleasure to be around. They may not have the fanciest office with all the bells and whistles but one thing is for sure...you will not be disappointed and your ailments will be addressed. Thank you again Mr. Townsend!

I had much difficulty trying to reach this office by phone since late September 2020. In early 2020, I was scheduled an appointment 6 months in advance. Could not locate the paper the appointment was scheduled for so I called them in September to ask for the appointment date. They said it was 2 days prior. I to!d them no one gave a reminder call and they confirmed that. After this doctor visit, I went to the pharmacy to pick up medications they said they sent to the pharmacy. After drivIng 45 minutes to the pharmacy, they said the prescriptions were not called in to them. I tried to call the doctor's office several times about this, but no one answered the phone. Left messages, but no one would return the call. This lead to much frustration and fear about not getting my prescriptions. I had to go to their office to try to get the prescriptions again. I asked for hand written prescriptions and got them. However, when I went to the pharmacy again, 45 minutes each way, they told me that Dr. Youngblood didn't include the prescriptions strengths and so they couldn't fill them. This is a horrible way to treat a patient! Am finding another doctor who is easier to communicate with to avoid future problems. Don't have time or patience for these games.
