I was visiting this place for the first time, looking for my grandmothers plot (she was buried with her husband who fought in WWII). It's a huge cemetery with very cool historic monuments and what not, but the place is so big I was having trouble finding her grave site. I went to the groundskeepers house but it was closed in the middle of the day, which is the only reason I'm giving them a 4 star. I left not being able to visit her ud83dude14 My suggestion is to have more maps around the area to help people in situations like mine.
Beautiful park dedicated to the Hero's of the Confederacy. Great view of Kennesaw mountain in the background
Nice parking lot for the cemetery. It has been here a long time and would probably be better served as a QT but the dead need a place to go as well I assume.
I don't think the word slavery appears on anything in this park. It's a very one sided view of history that won't even acknowledge the sufferings of those that were oppressed.
A great park that serves Marietta.
