The recreation area is beautiful and clean! Despite having many campers and visitors the picnic area (tables etc) were clean and had a nice sceneries are very nice. The fall is beautiful as well.
Great hosts! Brenda & Doug are amazing people and super accommodating! WARNING! If you do not like loud noises, don’t book sites 5,6&9! They are located right by the highway and that turn right there is sharp and steep and you hear people drifting the turn and semis hauling up & down the mountain ALL night, while at those camps. Book camp sites 9 or higher. Other than that the bathrooms are clean, has hot & clean showers. And the water is drinkable! It is water sourced from a spring up the mountain. Clean & crisp water. The running water in the camp turns off about mid Nov. and then turns on in the spring. It’s about 30 minutes away from any store or gas station. Worth it though. Nice creek, beautiful smells.
Short hike to beautiful waterfalls. Hike responsible- you pack it in- you pack it OUT! Well maintained trail, easy walk.

This campground was perfect for what we needed. We had a group of 4 and my pup. We had tons of space for our tents, a fire, table, and place to hang our trash. We were conveniently located near their bathroom/shower facility. There is NO electricity or place to charge your things so be sure to prepare for that. We also didn't have any phone service but it was nice to disconnect. This campground is also convenient to spots along the Appalachian Trail and we did many other trails during our visit.
