Got my PPL here as well as most of my IR rating. Loved every moment of it! Jim is an incredible instructor and and even greater friend to have. The school is in a very cool spot in the MFI hanger B. You’ll get to see the DC3’s do their run ups and flights. A lot of amazing people pass through these hangers and there’s nothing better than networking. Then maintenance is done by one of the greatest A&P out there. Give it a try!!

After retiring as an airline pilot I continued working as a full flight simulator instructor, but had not flown a real airplane in about 10 years. My love for flying brought me back to flying real airplanes, which required a medical and a biannual flight review. When I started looking for an instructor to do the BFR several people suggested Jim Howard at Clear Flight. I found Jim to be a truly professional flight instructor not just looking to build time, with years of experience helping hundreds of pilots get their licences. Clear Flight has an IFR equipped Cessna Skyhawk with a fresh factor remain 180 HP engine. There is also a gorgeous Cessna 170 (my favorite back to basics) that Jim does tailwheel endorsements in. Clear Flight is located in the Missionary Flight International hangar at the Fort Pierce Airport. Jim also trains pilots to be missionary pilots.
