If you are looking for fantastic bargains in almost everything, Belk Department Store (Tanglewood Mall) is the place to shop. Their current jingle advertising post-holiday sales is “Shop Everything Santa Didn’t Bring.” Bargains are fantastic and even better for shoppers with Belk charge cards or mail promotions.nOn a recent rainy afternoon visit, I saw that most departments such as handbags and shoes looked picked over. The ground floor-center cosmetic counters, however, were in classically immaculate condition.nUnfortunately, salespeople were few and far between. Some appeared to be moved from one area to another as they were unfamiliar when asked simple questioned about merchandise in their present location.nBelk Department Store offers mailing of purchases as well as in-store and curbside pickup. Because of Pandemic concerns, the store closed dressing rooms and requires masks to be worn. Belk at Tanglewood is the only one of five original Tanglewood Mall anchor stores still open and doing well since the Mall opened in 1973.
