This place is hands down the best!nThe Doc is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Finally a Specialist that builds rapport with the patient and really cares and takes time to explain things. The staff couldn’t be any nicer! This office is a place that you actually enjoy going to because you’re not just another patient to them. They actually care!

I saw Scott Urquart a couple years ago. When I made my appointment, I let them know that my doctor and I believed I had hyperparathyroidism due to my blood results (and other matching symptoms), which from research could only mean one thing. The first thing he said to me at my appointment as he sat down was “Now, I’m sure you’ve done a lot of research on hyperparathyroidism. But I’m sure you’ve done a lot of BAD research on hyperparathyroidism.” And then proceeded to talk down to me about how I shouldn’t assume my diagnosis, and spent the rest of the appointment trying to disprove everything I might have researched, trying to convince me that I didn’t have hyperparathyroidism solely because I was too young for it. He did not ask me questions about myself and I couldn’t get many words in. I understand doctors don’t like when patients self-diagnose, but he seemed fixated that I didn’t have what I thought and that instead - despite the symptoms not matching up and no reason that I could see, and despite everything (except my age) pointing to hyperparathyroidism - I must have a problem with my kidneys and had me take a test that resulted in thousands of dollars I had to pay. Doctors need to understand that these procedures cost money, even with insurance, and this one resulted in a lot of hardship and unsuccessful appeals for me. In the end, it turns out my pcp was correct and I did have hyperparathyroidism. I didn’t feel listened to by Scott Urquart. I wasn’t planning on saying anything, until I ran into a friend recently who had almost an identical experience with Urquart. I understand the doctor is the expert, but we both felt like giving him a heads up on what we believed the problem was hindered the progress that could have happened and that he went needlessly on the defensive in response.

Scott Urquart, PA-C worked with my 19 year old son who was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Scott was sympathetic, knowledgeable and real. My son was impressed as was I. Scott was up to date on recent advances in type 1 diabetic pumps and devices and excited to share. We left with confidence that we were in good hands. His work up assistant Tina was a hoot and keep the air light and lively. Appreciated the day. Amazing experience !!!

My 89 year old mother has seen mainly PA Scott Urkhart for a few years now and I could not be happier with her care. The entire staff is always so welcoming and kind. She gets impeccable medical care from Scott that balances her physical needs with her lifestyle. I highly recommend this office and staff.
