I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is great and the team is welcoming and cooperative. always when we go to this place we pass a splendid time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
They only do take out and there was a line.nWe got the regular dinner, leg dinner, liver snack, and gizzard snack. Everything was delicious. Chicken were crispy on the outside and still juicy. I love the texture contrast of the liver snack, crispy outside and smooth pate inside. Gizzard snack was crispy outside and a satisfying crunch when chewing on it.
Moved to Portsmouth last February and discovered this gem. Since they are closing down, I didn't get to enjoy it for very long unfortunately, but it was the best place I have found to get fried chicken. Sad to see you go.
I am writing this on April9th2021. My family and I have been loving the food especially the livers for over 40 years. But if what is posted on the WWHS page is true. That you are closing we will forever miss your restaurant. And Portsmouth has lost a true beacon of light. May GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES!
I will NEVER go here again! We had ordered FOUR days ahead a 22 piece order of chicken for Easter dinner to be picked up a day ahead. We even called to verify a few hours before we went from Suffolk to Portsmouth to pick it up. They said fine. Got there and they had given our order to someone else!!! Then the manager said his fryer was broken so he couldn't complete the order. So here we are the night before Easter running around looking for some subsitute the night before Easter. HORRIBLE attitude from them, even though it was THEIR MISTAKE. NEVER again. Go to Pollards instead!
