Radar trap town. The speed limit lowers suddenly on Rt 13 as you pass through the half mile section that falls within this community, and the cops there write up everybody they possibly can. Don’t make the mistake of going 5 mph over because traffic citations are quite a nice little revenue stream for this local government. So good are they at exploiting this that offenders will find offers from attorneys awaiting them in their mail within 3 days of getting cited. Oh, and one more thing, all offenders must appear in local court on a date several weeks from the date of the offense. Of course one of the local attorneys sending you offers can attend court as your representative should you not wish to return to backwater Virginia again. Nice!
