Kelly's Gingernut Pub did not disappoint. The bartender not only was polite, attentive & professional but I needed quarters to do laundry at my hotel. While there weren't many quarters in the cash register, the bartender had a few dollars worth in his pocket he traded me which was awesome. The atmosphere is what I love in a pub and I wish I could have stayed longer, or gone back more frequently. I had been craving a hamburger for days, but just couldn't pull the trigger on going to any particular place in Chesapeake. Lo & behold, Kelly's Crab & Brie Pub Burger was calling my name from across the bay and was well worth the waiting. It was phenomenal. I also ordered the She Crab Soup & Goat Cheese Salad, both equally delicious & stopped at Cape Charles Brewing on the way back to the motel for beer to go and it was a good day indeed. Made friends amongst the patrons who made me feel at home, and I believe it was a cook that even came out to talk to the patrons. Count on me coming back when next I'm staying in Chesapeake.

Kelly's is an authentic Irish pub in Cape Charles and a great place to meet up. There is ample seating indoors as well as outdoor seating along Mason and Pine streets, including a table in the old bank vault. They have a great selection of beers and Irish whisky's, and probably the best She Crab soup I have had in my life. If you are lucky, Gene will be available for a tour, and great conversation..

We tried this place for dinner on our first night in Cape Charles. The nachos were some of the best we’ve ever had, which we thought was funny considering it’s not a Mexican restaurant. :) The shepherd’s pie was also good. The service was great and our waitress didn’t charge us when my husband accidentally ordered the wrong beer and didn’t like the one he got. We will be back on our next trip to the area.

The best place to eat on the main strip, solid food and friendly service in a charming building. The Reuben sandwich is way above average and the Guinness is cold and all by the beach. Cant go wrong

Oh boy was that good. Fish was awesome, the burger was killer and the nachos were on point. Great service! Can't wait to come here by boat. 2021 is the plan.
