Posting for my wife: She had a procedure done in December 2020 at the Williamsburg, VA location. We had been with Sentara/Colonial Gastro because they are within network. For this procedure Dr. Beduya chose to use an out of network anesthesia service that resulted in a bill of $1,160 instead of the $64 we could have been billed if it was in network. I have placed plenty of calls into Colonial Gastroenterology to get this resolved and nobody has helped. All parties pass the ball back and forward. When you speak to anyone they only give you first and never last names.

Both the Williamsburg and the Newport News office - Constant staff turnover and chronically understaffed office makes for poor customer service and inadequate patient care. It's unsafe (and callous) to operate without proper staff to patient ratios. Not to mention makes everything from correcting billing mistakes to refilling prescriptions to scheduling procedures a hassle. Find any place other than here.

Everything was so bad I don’t even know where to start. Dr. Lisa Odobasi’s practice was just terrible and unprofessional. When I went to the Newport News office the front desk lady was clearly sick and coughing and she was not wearing a mask. Her nurse Priscilla gave me wrong information about h pylori virus and when I express concern she just told me to not worry about it. She was not wearing gloves and was touching the straw that I was about to drink from for a breath test for h pylori. When I express my concern she said it’s fine “honey” you can drink it it’s not contagious. I told her that coronavirus is and she said I can take that only thru air. It’s so embarrassing that a medical professional is not informed and still after so many months in pandemic she still thinks it’s nothing.When I went to do the endoscopy the nurse that was trying to put the iv in my arm poked me for 3 times and then said that she is not good at this so she will have to call someone else. The other nurse came and started literally punching my hand and told me that that’s how they do it. After the procedure my whole hand was bruised for more than a week and was hurting. They don’t care about their patients and they are very unprofessional with no bedside manners.

This entire office is truly refreshing! I’m from San Diego and I didn’t realize how spoiled I am when it comes to professional service in healthcare. I absolutely love it here but I’ve had a tough time finding healthcare offices who care about me, are polite, friendly, and efficient. This office is all of those things. This office is amazing. I can genuinely feel that the staff and doctors here care about their patients. I would recommend this office to anyone that needs medical help and answers. Dr. Baduya is amazing and explained everything very thoroughly for each procedure and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time.
