Brook Run Family Physicians

I want to let all that read this post to understand my frustration! Once I received notification that this facility was closing as of May 1st, 2021 - I have made phone calls, left messages, stopped by and with no COMMON COURTESY of a call back or anything - how SO UNPROFESSIONAL . I have been a patient with this facility starting with when they were located off of chamberlayne and the azalea area !!! I guess I mean absolutely nothing. I was a patient with Dr Lawrence then with Dr Nicholson so where did I go wrong???? My review is MINUS 100. I hope whoever/whomever owns this facility understands how you have messed up the lives of several hundreds of people! You apparently are not concerned or you would have handled this closure differently!

I would give 0 stars if I could!!! This is ABSOLUTELY the worst practice EVER!! I contacted them in November in regards to several issues I was having and I was suppose to come in for labs! The DOCTOR advised me that the office manager would be in contact with me to schedule those labs. After a week I heard NOTHING so I contacted them and was placed on a 30 minute hold, than of course the called dropped. Called back no answer!!!!! Here we are in February and I have yet to hear from these people or get my lab work done!!! I don’t care how much in need you are for a doctor! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!!

All I needed was to have my medical records transferred to another Bon Secors practice.nnThe Patient Care Rep was very rude, argumentative and not helpful.nnAfter expressing my disatisfaction with her practice, she said “You’re not the first today and its for the best that you go elsewhere.”nnThe expectation of professionalism I’ve heard about Bon Secors, is not found at this practice.

I'm leaving Brook Run Family Physicians. I've been a patient here for roughly over a year. I had a check-up and it was okay. Dr. Read (or Reid, not sure how to spell his name) wasn't bad, but he came off as a bit cold. I didn't feel like he was the type of guy I could talk about my personal, medical issues with. Still, I had no major complaints about him.nnThe reason I decided to leave was due to an incident yesterday. I called about getting some X-rays. The receptionist was incredibly rude. She cut me off mid-sentence to tell me I had the wrong number. Confused, I explained to her that I was a patient at Brook Run Family Physicians. She then went into some spiel about how I would have to call my insurance company. Why, and exactly what I was supposed to tell me insurance company? I don't know. I had the feeling she just wanted to get me off the phone. That's fine with me. I will take my business elsewhere. I'm going to try my luck at Commonwealth Primary Care.

I scheduled an appointment here about a month and a half ago. I went and got my diagnosis and was told that my doctor (Dr. Shananhan I believe?) did not “manage my diagnosis.” She helped me by referring me to the correct doctor and told me that she would email the other doctor and see what the other doctor recommended until I was able to finally get in and see them. A week and a half went by and I (the patient) had to call back and ask for an update. The receptionist said she would leave a note for the doctor. 4 days go by. I finally get a call back of the medicine I was prescribed to take. I asked her if it was ready to be picked up today and she said “yes, you can pick it up at any time.”nI waited until I got paid to go pick it up as my insurance only let’s be use specific pharmacies and mine was 35 minutes away. I went to pick it up a week later and it was not there.nI called them immediately and was polite asking them to send it and they told me it would take 24 TO 48 HOURS for a doctor to review my request.nI called again the next day. No one helped me yet again. They told me the same thing. I called the say after, same thing. It is now going on a week after I originally went to TRY AND PICK IT UP and no one has bothered to approve the medicine as of yet.nDO NOT GO HERE. this place has a BLATENT disregard for their patients. None of them have any clue what they’re doing.
