With a menu full of amazing options and a restaurant full of fun decor, Jake's Place is clearly deserving of 5 stars. The pork barbeque has a perfect smoked flavor and falls apart the way anything out of a master's pit should. I hope to be back soon to try more of their offerings.
My friend and I heard good things about this place and decided to try it. To say the least we were disappointed. I had the seafood grits which were horrible. No flavor, about 4 shrimp and 4 pieces of sausage( wheres the scallops that were suppose to be in the grits as they listed on the menu?) The green peppers and onions were just laid across the grits. There was a little condiment cup( like for ketchup) with the side of green beans. The whole meal was just a mess. It had no taste whatsoever.
Jake's Place catered our Employee Appreciation luncheon today and it was the best food around! My personal favorite is the homemade cornbread. Thanks, Jake's Place, for such a tasty lunch and fantastic customer service.
Delicious food and wonderful people all in a great setting. We love eating here regularly!
I hate to give low ratings, but I'm gonna be honest. Staff was really friendly so that's a plus!nBut I had their burger and it was sadly just okay. My family said the pork was good but wasn't great. The experience in all was pretty average.nAlso, the entry way was super tight.. Not fun when you're trying to pay for your meal and another family has to squeeze by you just to get in/out of the door.
