It was neat having dinner and having trains come into the station above us. Wasn't too noisy but we could see people get on and off. The food was terrific. The Alpine Schnitzel was tremendous. I got a beer flight and all 4 of them were terrific. The Apple Red Cabbage was the best I've ever had.

Had dinner with the wife and friends. had steaks and had schnitzel. Steaks were warmish, peppercorn sauce was cold and spicy Schnitzels were rock hard,stiff and inside cold. Sauce was warm. Family style served sides were warmer than the entree's. Service was meh. Asked for seasoning and steak knifes to cut schnitzel upon arrival of entree and it arrived 15 minutes later. Does anyone teach the two minute/two bite rule anymore?

This family owned restaurant serves the best pretzel and homemade breads, plus the veal with beaded pork schnitzel was simply delicious, combined with the German potato salad and red cabbage. They had big portions and unlimited sides too! Everything was authentic, and dining in a converted train station was like being in a grand ballroom in Europe, with the piped in Viennese waltz in the background. Awesome service by Eric; everyone definitely put their best efforts. Would definitely come back and bring others!

A fantastic setting, food, and service! I eat out all over the world, and I’d place this up there on my tops list. Great beer choice. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable servers. Absolutely tasty food. The German chocolate cake is the best I’ve ever had. Fortunately business has me back in Fredericksburg a few times this year. I shall return!

Quiet and cozy with super nice stuff. The food was good and plenty. I would love to visit again though not only for food but the atmosphere and the sitting.
