Updating my review from 3 yrs ago. The food has improved. The breakfast is excellent. Lunch and dinner is very good. Homecooked menu items and hearty portions. The fried okra is a favorite. The service is great and friendly.
Food was very good. Wait staff was very friendly. But it took forever to get our food. Seemed to short staff the day is was there. They didn't charge us for our drinks to make up for long wait. Very nice gesture, thank you!
Came in after visiting the Appomattox Court House Battlefield. The inside is very unassuming and the waitstaff were nothing but full of Southern hospitality. I got the soup and grilled cheese combo with a side of fried okra and onion rings. Everything was tasty and filing. It was the perfect amount. Soup was a full on bowl and I filled up on that alone. It felt like I was at grandmas getting a nice home cooked meal. If you are passing through or looking for a place in the area. I highly recommend it!
