We have used A. Walecka Movers on two occasions moving to Virginia 17 years ago and now returning to Massachusetts. Even using the same driver for both moves. Unheard of in today’s world both employees have been with the company for over 40 years, crazy!nnThat being said, both employees and the local packing hired help were outstanding, professional, funny, terrific with the kids and dogs, and extremely comforting dealing with the stress of moving To a destination 500 miles away. If I could rate them beyond a five star,we would. Highly recommended.

I moved my family across the country after I retired from the military. The first part of the move wasn't their company and they didn't do that great of a job. Second part was the delivery and that was them. I don't know how they still get military contracts. They were really bad. Several pieces of my furniture were damaged, luckily it wasn't anything important. I got the run around and never ended up with any compensation. Both the military and them were pointing fingers at each other.nnSecondly when the movers tried to move my business vending machines into the house they didnt even try before telling me they wouldn't fit. I was at work and just believed them. Come to find out later that it would have been fine. They offered to store them for a fee per month. I assumed you can pay online, you can't. When you call them the only person that deals with payments over the phone was never in the office.nnOver all I would say DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY!!nThey are do disorganized and can't even find your items if you have them stored there.

The team at Walecka & Son made our moving experience so smooth! It was our first time selling and buying a house and the team walked us through the whole process and made it so easy to pack up and move out of our home and then move into our new home a few days later. They were professional, handled our furniture like it was their own and quoted us a fair price. We can not say enough positive things about Walecka & Son

Great experience moving with these guys. They showed up on time, worked tirelessly all day long and got us into our new place for a fair price. The workers were quiet but pleasant, super efficient and very careful with our property. Stress-free and highly satisfied.

We scheduled a moving day 2 months in advance, come our moving day no one showed up. Called and was given the run around, a manager called back 30 minutes later to tell us “sorry we forgot to schedule you.” Their compensation (if you can call it that) for their mistake was not charging overtime for the next day move since it was a Saturday, which if they scheduled us like discussed, there wouldn’t have been overtime... the manager finally said he’d give us a discount. A week after the move we of course got a bill without the discount. Tried calling multiple times and left messages and emails to discuss their inconvenience to us their customers, no response. Choose a different moving company.
