We have been with Dr. Neal for almost a year now. It's such a good feeling to have a great doctor so available if need be. Our kids love him. While visiting some friends in Hood River, I came to see Dr. Neal for a severe neck muscle spasm. Even though I'm not a resident or returning patient of his, he was able to get me into his schedule quickly and was very responsive. He took his time with me, asked lots of questions and really listened to my answers. This might be the first time I can say that about a doctor's appointment! It was truly an awesome experience - I only hope I can find a similar health care situation in my home town!

Easiest access to healthcare I have ever experienced! I got sick on a Sunday and Dr. Neal helped me get signed up with a membership and started on antibiotics by 9am Monday! Dr. Neal is down to earth, friendly, and demonstrates a genuine concern for his patients and the community. We are pretty lucky to have his services here in Hood River and I highly recommend!

The best care at any price. Limited client base means Dr Douglas takes the time to listen and take care of his patients on a very close level. Being a Direct Primary Care Physician (DPC) also means he is not working for the insurance companies, he is your doctor and will work to take care of you and not the bottom line. Client fee is $80 per month and with that it includes all doctors visits. Doctor Douglas also finds the best pricing on lab test and prescriptions. The way of the future of family practice medicine is at the Heritage clinic in Hood River. No more reschedule for more than one issue. I had a few issues on my last visit and all were taken care of and done very well. Insurance companies will not allow Doctors to work this way and it's always frustrating. I feel very fortunate to have found this clinic. I am 58 years old. I have high cholesterol, bad shoulders and the usual worn out parts from age and a physical job. I was not getting a quarter of the care from KP at several times the price. Anyone in the Hood River area that is looking for a family doctor should contact Dr. Neal. Although the practice is fairly new the patient list is filling up quick and I don't doubt that it won't be long before it's full.
