I have not been to a Forest Service station that is so peaceful. All you can hear is the wind, and the wildlife. This place is a gift. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, flatware, utensils, pots & pans. There are even a few games, puzzles and books. It has been well-loved by those who return to it often. If you rent it, do yourself a favor and stop by the Forest Service Ranger Station in Prineville for good directions, and a map.
