I took a road trip to Stanley about 5 yrs ago in a rental car. Such a beautiful area! Unfortunately the tire pressure light came on in my car so I took it the this repair shop. The car was a rental - with the dreaded CA license plate so the guy refused to even look at my car. He walked outside saw the plate, didn’t even get near the car, and said he wouldn’t help me. Idaho is known for its hate of everything - especially Californians.nAnyone that has been to Stanley knows how remote it is. The fact that some A-hole refuses to even look at someone car’s based off their assumptions and hatred speaks volumes about this town and the owners of this shop - Mountain Village Resort. Go to Stanley at your own risk if your plates don’t say ID. You may end up dead with these trash humans. Idaho is the State of Hate.

Riley is the dude! Awesome honest and fair small town mechanic

I have had to come here a couple of times while visiting the area. The mechanics here are really awesome. Very friendly and are really honest and fair with prices. Despite being in a remote location, they offer competing prices that you would find anywhere else. I have always respected them for that. They are also some of the fasts tire fixers you have seen. They fix punctured tires all year. That has happened to me twice being in that area. Would definitely recommend them if you need the help.

In and out in 15 minutes on a busy weekend morning for valve stem repair. Charged me half what I was expecting. Awesome.

I got a flat tire while visiting the Stanley area this week. After a little research, I stopped by the Mountain Village Service Station and met Riley. He was obviously very busy, but set aside what he was doing to get me back on the road. He did a great job helping me and was more than reasonable with what he charged me. I would definitely recommend them if you have auto repair needs in Stanley!
