So, this really is a TARDIS in a small park on the southern edge of Virginia City. I'm not sure why, nor were any of the locals I asked about it. But there it is. It's very cool, in a very cool little town, and it's worth a visit to Virginia City, just to get your picture taken with the TARDIS.

Ah, yes - it does look like a regular police box from the mid-20th century.nnAt some point during the Doctor's adventures – a Dalek encounter, perhaps – the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) was sent to this quiet corner of Virginia City, likely just to be parked in safety until needed. No one can quite place the time when it materialized here, nor can one reasonably predict at which point in the space-time continuum it will dematerialize to respond to the Doctor's summons. As much as we have experimented, no Earth-produced sonic screwdrivers had any effect or provided any useful readings; we suspect that only tools made on Gallifrey itself will be of use here, but everyone is welcome to take their photograph with it and to speculate as to which Doctor parked the TARDIS here...
