Love love love love it there! The only vet I will ever take my furr babies. Everyone there is just so friendly and helpful and gawd I can't say enough good about them. My pups live going there and they are always so kind and just amazing.

Backstory- I use to live closer to Aurora so I came from a vet there, before COVID they were super friendly! They didn’t always listen to my concerns but they seemed to take care of my pet accordingly. Every-time I went in it seemed like they wanted me to buy another thing unfortunately. After COVID hit when I took my pet back for a routine check up, they wouldn’t allow me to go back in the room with her, let alone inside the building. I had to wait outside on a bench and I was very unhappy with this. They told me my pet was attacking them and that I needed to go and buy a hard carrier because the one I had wasn’t working for them. I understand that part but what I don’t understand, is them taking my pet in a room without her owner, among strangers and they expect her to be fine with that. I will not recommend that vet nor would I be going back after that experience.nWe moved into the Elizabeth area a while ago and I was looking for a new vet, I came across Dusty Plains and figured I’d give them a try! Wow I was just blown away with the friendly faces, everyone was very nice and friendly. The vet answered all my questions and listened to any concerns I had. The best Vet I’ve EVER had in my life. It truly was a breathe of fresh air not having to wear a mask, I guess it pays off to be in the heart of a republican town. I understand anyone that wants to wear one and I’m fine with that but at least I wasn’t forced and I truly appreciate that. The vet assessed my new pup and he was very explanatory on what he was doing. One thing I really love about this place, is that they don’t try to shove anything down your throat “buy this and buy that” they never once tried to do that with me. The vet was the most friendly vet I’ve had in a while. He never tried to make me pay for unnecessary things, he told me options I could take if I wanted to but that I didn’t have to. The vet is very down to earth, a very kind man and truly amazing at his job! I will be recommending you guys to all my friends and family. Looking forward to the next visit.

Dr Atkins and staff are great! Really appreciative of all their help and knowledge. They are also very reasonably priced.

I've been going here for almost 10 years. Dr. Atkins is always friendly and ALWAYS remembers myself and my animals. He is always honest and obviously thats all you want when it comes to your animals. I drive from Aurora and so does my mom. Absolutely the best staff as well! We have missed Flo since her retirement though!
