The Bar Next Door is a cozy, unassuming watering hole with excellent service and food so good it will make your taste buds explode! The friendly staff make you feel at home right when you walk in the door. It has a streamlined food menu that seems bound to change every so often, which is refreshing. The smash burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the Elvis burger adds just the right amount of peanut butter - you know its there but it doesn't overwhelm the burger. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich is top-notch - honestly its worth stopping in just for this sandwich alone. Anytime we go our servers have been friendly with attentive service - Millie, who tended to us at our last visit, was great! I will be taking my out of town friends here. Highly recommend!
Easily one of the best burgers in the area. Smash burger is outstanding. Locally sourced foods from top to bottom. Super cool spot and a nicely done interior. A hidden gem and they are becoming a routine for us. Employees are super nice and ive never had a bad experience there. Highly recommend!
Best food and drink around! Menu is a little on the small side but everything is excellent. Their signature drinks are superb as well. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
Easily the best food around! Everything is local and fresh, the cheesecurds aren't even frozen before they make them! Friendly staff, clean environment and great music, what more could you want! I HIGHLY recommend!
Wow! Some places still do it right! I don’t know where to begin. The environment, the staff, the food. It has all the makings of a good night out.nnThis place is a diamond in the rough. The first time I went I saw pictures of their food online, and I was surprised when I pulled up to a restaurant attached to a Motel 8. Of course that didn’t stop us. Step inside and there are good tunes playing on the jukebox and a bartender (Marcus) welcoming us right away. The aesthetic is an interesting mix of a gamy dive bar with old pool tables and dart boards and some nice updates like flooring and light fixtures. It feels like it is a place that is both laid back and a place where management also takes pride in ownership obviously wanting everyone who comes through to enjoy themselves and be comfortable. It’s a great mix of old and new.nnThe staff here is a 10 out of 10. They are genuinely interested in you’re experience, and they know what they are doing. Marcus is a great bartender. He always has a special cocktail to suggest, and can whip up the classics perfectly. I think the young lady’s name is Amelia. She is a great server/bartender, and very sweet. Chad the GM is awesome. Remembers our drink orders and runs this place with pride. Pete the owner is hilarious and kind. He is usually in the back whipping up small miracles on the griddle, but stops out to mingle from time to time. Bottom line, the staff is amazing. It is also not their first rodeo. I suggest you read up on the story behind the Bar Next Door.nnLast but definitely not least, the FOOD!!! Wow! We have purposely tried almost everything on the menu, and you can’t miss. As my girlfriend likes to say, “nothing but BANGERS on the the menu.” (She thinks she’s funny). Everything is interesting, unique, and most importantly delicious! The muscles are our favorite. The rueben egg rolls/wantons a close second. The burgers and fries are amazing too. Not your average bar burger. They have a delicious chicken sandwich , again not something you can find at Perkins. The list goes on, but the point is you can’t miss. Super fresh ingredients and amazing recipes. There cocktail list is an amazing compliment to the menu. Can’t miss here either. “Nothing but BANGERS!”nnYou have to check this place out. I tell all of my friends, and we go every weekend. If you pass this place up, you are missing out! Two thumbs up, five stars, a golden sticker, they are all appropriate!
