Very average food. So many better places in the area. Ordered stuffed French toast and it was literally 6 pieces of toast with nothing else. I would look elsewhere. No bueno.
There are many things to like about Sam’s: the homemade dinners like moussaka and stuffed cabbage in addition to diner standards, the huge portions, the reasonable prices, the friendly wait staff. They get the small details right: the iced tea is good; the home fries are never greasy, the soups are homemade.
Just ordered the Coney dog combo and it was unbelievable! Solid hotdog, not boiled which is essential! Bun was grilled and the chili was perfect! I will be back!
Food was fast hot and delicious. Wait staff was excellent. Will definitely go back.
I get carry out often from Sam's. Tonight I tried a new dish-- cabbage rolls. Very good! Their Broasted chicken is excellent... truly first rate!nBut I have one big complaint.nPLEASE stop using styrofoam containers.nFirst, they leak... always. I have not once recieved a carry out that didn't leak....even when you line the styrofoam with aluminum foil. It's a mess and the juice, broth, gravy or sauce gets on my hands or drops on my clothing and it's all wet in the bottom of the bag.nSecond, it's horrible for the environment. It's not biodegradable and remains in the landfill for decades. I'd rather pay an extra dime for each container than have you use this environmental hazard.nThanks... You're great cooks but please make this small change.
