Beautiful waterfall just off the road. Permit required
I am from out of state and happened upon a blog that referenced the quick outlook. It was tricky to find but we proudly did. I attempted to look up a permit that the tiny parking spot referenced but had no internet at the hidden entrance (later learned of the 2 weeks to get it). We went down, stayed behind the line, admitted to being a highlight of my southern Ohio birthday trip, and started to walk back up the steps. We were greeted by an officer who was quick to hand out expensive tickets, despite our being oblivious to anything more than a risk to being towed, and noted of the minor misdemeanors attached. He further noted of our being spared from anything more significant as we were obedient to the guides. So Ohioans, enjoy your beautiful scenery and continue to follow the permit guidelines. Out of towners, beware the preserves are not for everyone.
Wonderful falls
So it was my understanding that you could go from the falls on to the Boch hollow trails. Since we had small childern we got the permit and started our hike there. The falls are beautiful but the trail is cabled off. I understand that they are doing a reclamation but notice wouldve been nice.
Absolutely stunning!!! Don't swim naked, because people are coming lol
