This place is a complete nightmare. For starters, 3 floors of this apartment building flooded this past weekend and my specific unit was affected pretty heavily by water damage. I have been living in a mess for the past week, waiting to be told about any work that will need to be done on the unit and I have heard absolutely nothing from the deacon staff. We were never directly contacted by anyone about the cause of the flood. They never asked about damages to our property. They never offered to move us to another unit while ours is being worked on. I haven't even seen or talked to a member of this so called management team. I've received more helpful information from the random cleaning team than I have from the people who I pay to live here. This is just one example of the many, many problems I've had with this building in the two years I've lived here. The management team here is practically non-existent and doesn't seem to care at all about their residents or their well-being. Word of advice: save your money and don't bother signing a lease here.

I moved here in August from Florida and knew I wanted to be close to campus and The Deacon comes furnished so it made moving a lot easier. I signed a lease without seeing the place knowing just those two things and I could not be happier I did. Everyone is nice and helpful, I look forward to picking up my packages just to say hi to the nice front desk workers. They have very nice amenities and everything you could need from pool, to gyms, dog bathing area and several grills if you like grilling out. They also have a parking garage which is great to have. I love that they try to host events when they can like goat yoga coming up. Just like any apartment place something may break or need fixed and anytime this has happened they have gotten to it faster then I even expected. I feel safe here and if I'm gone for a week or so I do not worry about my stuff in my apartment. As long as I'm in school at UC I do not plan on living anywhere else. Thank you The Deacon.

A bit pricey but its been a great place to live during the COVID era. I do look forward to seeing what the place will be like when things are normal but so far everything has been great. Staff has always been responsive and helpful, repairs have been handled promptly, and couldn't ask for a much better location.

I currently live at the deacon, and my roommates and I all agree: we don't understand why people give so much hate towards the deacon. It's not bad at all, it is way nicer than any other accommodation you are going to get. It is pricey, but for what you get its quite nice. Fire alarms were a bit of an issue the first semester, but they seem to have fixed them. Maintenance is pretty good and responsive. Noise on the weekends is common, but not surprising, it's student living.

My experience living in the Deacon this year has been amazing! The staff is great and super friendly, and the amenities are SO nice. I highly recommend checking the Deacon out if you’re wanting to be close to campus!
