There is not much here which is in some ways good. The parking lot is nice and near a bird blind that it appears no one is minding. There are hiking paths here and one leads to a boardwalk which has been shut down for some time. There are signs that the area is in the process of being improved.

Beautiful, beautiful place. Wear waterproof footware! If it has rained a lot the paths will be overgrown because they can't be mowed, too soggy. I'd also wear long pants to help guard from ticks. The wooden walkway seems to have been down for awhile so I wouldn't count on it, but still a lovely place to walk with lots of great birding and butterflies. The parking is actually along pence-jones Rd and go all the way to the last lot to park at the lake.

Some punks messed up the pier leading to a great elevated deck for bird observation, and they are doing some observatory improvements, but a great walk nonetheless.
