Bishop Watterson is a very confusing school. The administration is split down the middle with extremely dedicated and passionate teachers who love and care about every student, and the teachers who are belittling, extremely petty, and very rude to students. I constantly hear teachers gossip and speak unprofessionally of students and other teachers and it’s embarrassing and sad to know that is what happens within this school. There are many great and amazing parts about Watterson, yet it’s just so sad and devastating to hear some things the administration does. One thing that just breaks my heart for many reasons is that the senior class lost a student to suicide last year. The senior class had the idea to honor and respect this students life and the students family by wearing a blue ribbon on all of their graduation gowns. This was denied by the faculty and that was my last straw. I am deeply embarrassed to see that something to honor a friend and student was denied for no reason at all. I am angry and absolutely disgusted for that and it breaks my heart for the students family.

This is a phenomenal institution of college preparatory learning. BWHS embodies the beliefs and principles of the Catholic faith, as well as accepts and embraces all students, families and community. Anyone who claims that Watterson did not prepare them for college and life, only felt that way by their own doing and lack of motivation. Watterson prepares individuals for a life of service, learning, involvement and opportunity.nnI am a proud graduate of Bishop Watterson.

i loved this facility. it was an honor to have graduated from such a great high school. watterson has diversity but the community is like that of a family. the studies were challenging but helpful in the long run. the staff is caring and understanding when it comes to issues regarding students, academically or at home. if you want to go to a high school with focuses on academics, sports, and faith, bishop watterson is the place for you.
