If you’re going to get a license reciprocated be prepared to take about 3 to 4 months to do all the paperwork. They won’t tell you in the beginning everything that needs done they’ll make you do each step before they’ll disclose the next step. They won’t except any forms via email so everything has to be mailed by the US Postal Service. Your background check will go through electronically. But they will not except the electronic version from the FBI, they’ll make you wait two more weeks for the paper version. Then they have a financing department that will take two weeks to process your $25 fee to finally issued your license. We started the process transferring a NC electrician license in the middle of Aug. As of October 28th we are no closer to finalizing this OH#. And you wonder why more electricians don’t be licensed?
