Was a lot of fun. Not many places to fish near the campsites, but if there aren't many people there, the dock was a great place to throw out a line. Late March, we caught a handful of bullheads. The non premium campsites themselves are a bit small and in earshot of neighbors, but everyone was very respectful. Very pet friendly.
Once they stocked rainbow trout we had a blast! Caught our limit every time we went! The only thing I can suggest is a portable potty at the small boat ramp. Please.
This is an absolutely beautiful lake. They have boat ramps and camping. There is a great little store on 727 by one of the boat ramps called Bucs. They have great food and very cold beverages.
Dissatisfied in the fact that we were unable to enjoy our week due to the campground having limited staff, yet we still had to pay full price. Could not sleep a wink in a tent because the Geese wanted to honk and then laugh at their echoes across the lake...and do it all night long. Maybe one day in the future we will try again.
Great spot for nature. Water clarity not good. Ok for fishing.
