Got five tickits in one day anyone beat that record??
Interesting, I had the exact same experience at Overlook Mountain. I brought my 13yo son to the Buddhist Monastery up there for the free hour long tour. There were cars parked along the side of the road so I just parked behind one. There was no sign where we parked, they started several feet further down. When we left the monastery only a couple of hours later, every single car had a little yellow ticket on the windshield and that's when I noticed the sign. As a longtime resident of the area, all I was thinking was, there are NO other activities that our local police could be doing to keep me and my family safe? The police are patrolling the area by the trailhead and the monastery? I will continue to be a supporter of our local law enforcement personnel but I have lost a bit confidence, and quite honestly I feel a bit less safe, knowing this is what Woodstock Police are doing with their resources.
Woodstock, New York loves giving out tickets. there is a very popular hike called overlook mountain and they go by there very 3 hours just to give out tickets. they wouldn't making the parking lot bigger of warn people. i'm not mad because they ticket me. i'm mad because their must of been 25 to 35 tickets issued when i was there. now imagine how many tickets for the whole day, 365 day a year they give out. this is a HUGE MONEY MAKER FOR THE TOWN and this is how the town rewards tourist coming to their town to send money in their local businesses. very sneaky and the town should be a shame of themselves. but will they do something about. sure they will. ISSUE MORE TICKETS, BRAVO!!!!!
Beware. This park job gets you a ticket in woodstock
Arrived 20 minutes early to court only to wait 5 hours! Served second to last, even though arrived early. FIVE HOURS. And it was adjourned.
