Wonderful museum of both Corning and glass history. I do find it sad that as I walked through the place with a mask on due to the pandemic, to find so much of the stuff in their gift shop was made in China! Kind of ruined the experience for me. Museum built to celebrate an American company. Fortunately they also had many items from local glass artists which are wonderful.nnForgot to mention don’t miss the glass blowing and forming demonstrations! They are outstanding! Really cool. What I enjoyed the most was the technology history and the history of fiber optics. That was very educational.

The Corning Museum of Glass is the jewel of this area. It has survived flood waters and continues to shine into the future. Come here if you need inspiration and take a trip to the local Rockwell museum while you're at it. It's just down the street.nnIf you're feeling hungry after your visits, stop at any local restaurant in the gaffer district and fulfill your day with a nice meal and good company.

An absolutely stunning experience, almost overwhelming in its wondrous and expansive displays of history, of invention, of artistry. A live demonstration of glass-making was fascinating and well-hosted. The gift shop was a delight, with something for just about every taste. And the ramen noodles with mushrooms and assorted tasty veggies was just right, in their cafe. It was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, one I recommend most heartily!

Amazing unique museum. Highly recommend doing an audio tour through your phone for a personal guide experience, really gives you an appreciation for the work and some of the audios are surprisingly funny. I always come back to see a new exhibit every year
