MY SON AND I ENJOY THIS HIKE AND WE ADDED THE WATERFALL TRAIL TO THE HIKE. THE WATERFALL WON'T WOW YOU BUT WE DID GET SOME VIEWS OF SNOW CAP MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE TREES. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR TRAIL SO IF YOU WORRIED ABOUT THE VIRUS THE PARKING LOT WILL GET OVERFLOW DURING THE WEEKENDS BUT THE TRAIL AND WOODS ARE OPEN ENOUGH TO MOVING OFF THE PATH SO YOU CAN HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE IN BETWEEN EACH OTHER. YOU'LL FIND PLENTY OF OPENINGS OFF THE TRAIL TO GET NICE VIEWS OF THIS SMALL LAKE BUT AT TIMES YOU'LL HERE PEOPLE TALKING ACROSS FROM YOU. THE TRAIL IS EASY TO FOLLOW AND THE GROUNDS ARE SOFT ON THE FEET SO YOU WON'T NEED HEAVY BOOT BUT I WOULD STILL USE WATERPROOF SHOES. ALL IN ALL A TRAIL THAT IS WORTH VISITING MORE THAN ONCE.

Interesting and somewhat difficult hike around a lake in under an hour with a lot of little spots to stop and enjoy the view of the lake.

Fantastic short hike around Lake Bonita in Wilton...2 miles. Beautiful views, wildlife, and an easy hike for beginners.

Excellent trail. Dog and Child Friendly, very pretty.

Very nice, almost new parking area. The trail around the lake is pretty short but it connects to a huge network of trails on the Palmer Town Range and back to Moreau Park. Make sure you have a good map (available at the Moreau Park Office or on line) because the network can be very confusing for those not familiar with the area (and even those that are). I have come across lost hikers more times than I like to think about. Cell coverage is pretty bad in that are so don't count on being able to use your phone.
