Lovely independent bookstore, you can tell Louise is passionate about literature and providing a cozy place to browse. There are modern and antique books, classics and underrated gems. On my recent visit, I purchased several collections of poems, an 1898 Massachusetts department of agriculture yearbook, an interior/exterior design guide, as well as a couple vinyls!
Interesting and quirky place. Packed with books so you will need to do some digging to find things. There are different sections that help.
Fascinating place, full of nooks and crannies and books you’ve never seen... plus a learned and charming Scottish bookkeeper!
What a great little (somewhat) off the beaten path bookstore. The owner has a very nice selection of books and an intimate knowledge of where everything. There’s a bell to ring should you have a question and she’ll pop right in to help out. Plus - did I mention she has tea and scones?!? Well worth the trip from Massachusetts or the capitol district. It’s a labor of love and it shows - well done!
Amazing selection, prices, and building. Definitely a must-visit. I’ll be back to see Orson and Hendry soon.
