Hewison Aviation

New to this airport & area. Utilized services for a BFR in my own aircraft. Met several staff IPs; all welcoming & friendly. Classroom environment was clean and well equipped. Weather postponed the flying portion of the review multiple times over multiple weeks. My IP kept me well informed and up to date with good communications. Nice Folks. Thanks all.

I started my journey as a pilot in the early 2000's and stopped and started many times due to life events as many do. In 2019 i started again with Hewison Aviation for 2 reasons, they fly Pipers which are low wings and i personally think they are cooler looking, they were Part 61 school which gave me flexibility to include some of the training from previous years. They have a fleet of very well maintained airplanes, top rated instructors that are very professional and human and they really want to push you to succeed. Thanks to Hewison Aviation, i am hours away from a life long dream. I highly recommend Hewison Aviation and anyone considering earning a pilots license, a new rating, or just a introductory flight, give them a look. You will not be disappointed. I can't say enough good things about this aviation school. I am particularly impressed by the caliber of their certified flight instructors. As a 63-year-old newbie to aviation, I can honestly say that these folks make it easy for an old dog to learn new tricks! I have every confidence that when I'm finished I will be a competent and responsible pilot, always eager to hone this wonderful new skill.

Hewison Aviation is an excellent business to go to if one is interested in learning how to fly. The instructors are nice, clearly communicate what to do while in the air, and they tell you what to expect while on the ground before the lesson begins. The aircraft themselves are very well maintained with standard instrumentation and handle appropriately in the air. If you have time and are interested, go ahead and schedule an intro flight. knowledgeable and friendly flight school. Great for beginners just starting to fly, all the way up to pilots working on their Commercial and Flight Instructor Certificates. I am currently working with them toward my Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and I could not be happier with my choice of school.
